Arcemba 27th, Himmeday Calletaian Countryside Border of Laurentia and Calletaia
Saoirse was down in the grass, clad in her exploration gear, hair knotted into a ponytail while she laid against the tall grass like a panther in wait. Her bow, gripped by her brown fingerless gloves, a slow 'vrmm' sound could be faintly heard as the thick string would bind against its set weight. The tightened bronze would bend under the force of the pull, and the formed arrow resting on the armed sight, which her eye looked upon like a hawk finding prey. A deer, old and heavy with aged tender and meat grazed only forty feet from her location, hidden among the tall, green grass. It seemed to not notice her, teeth chewing the fodder ever so gracefully, as if it had no cares in the world. Of course, this was a deer, the main food source for most nomadic people, and since they were few and far between, they feared no evil. Saoirse, on the other hand, was not an average farmer with land and cows. She required fresh meat, straight from a wild source, and this deer was a perfect specimen. She wasted no time, preparing the string, and her D loop around her fingers, before her eyesight caught the perfect moment to strike! Bursting from the grass, alerting the deer, but being at the distance she was, it did not move. Her bow was raised, looking down the arrow's tip, and finally pointing it directly at the deer's breast, she would sit for a slight moment, before finally releasing her arrow. If she hit the deer, the power of the arrow, and the barbs tearing apart the flesh and heart it would pierce, the animal would scream in pain before falling down and dying. If she failed, the arrow would enter the body incorrectly, not hitting the heart, but damaging the skin greatly, causing the deer to scream and escape at high speeds away. Anyone nearby would be able to hear what was going one. Would anyone come to investigate?

Vating had been walking down the path, a good distance from Saoirse's deer shooting, he had been making his way towards Agilis City. He was currently munching on a loaf of stale bread from his rations. It was still edible, which is what mattered.
During his travels down the road, he suddenly heard a deer scream in pain, which caused him to dive into some nearby tall grass, thinking that maybe some ambushers were nearby and they just so happened to hit a dear. Little did he know that some random teenage girl was right under where he was about to land. This sounds like a recipe for disaster...

"What in the-" The words would come from Saoirse's mouth as she would hear the grass behind her rumble, before the man came barreling towards her, seemingly hitting the deck on the tall weeds. Barely managing to move to her left, her eyes examining the man as she moved a few feet from the built male. The deer, now running off into the tree line with an arrow sticking from it's breast. Quickly readjusting herself from her stumble away, her rosy hand went to her quiver and was set in motion to attempt to knock another arrow, terrified by the situation. Her white eye, still scarred from her wound years ago, was contrasting with the awkward foreign skin tone and bright green clothing she garbed in. Her current assessment of the situation, it was a young weapon saleswoman, suddenly surprised by a tall, older man. While this would be normal in her village, she was extra careful, since the bandit increases, and her first instinct was to gain physical high ground.
"Wh- Who are y- you?" she would stutter, obviously having not met another person since leaving her home village, she was standing straight, but her voice was wobbly, and her face distracted, quite visibly.
If she managed to achieve that high ground was if she was able to draw an arrow fast enough. How would this situation fix itself?

As soon as he rolled next to the girl and back to his feet, immediately brushed himself off and saw her already have an arrow knocked and aimed at him. He calmly raised his hands and said, "Now, now. Calm down... I'm not a threat at the moment." He noticed her wobbliness while she originally spoke, but decided that a nervous girl with a bow was a bad thing to scare on accident, so he held his position, showing no signs of aggression.

"Yo- You didn't answer m- me!" She said, trying to seem fierce, before noticing her own pitiful looking self. She quit, slowly releasing the string to loosen the power, before holding the arrow in place, ready to redraw the bow. "Uh... Sorry. I have been hiding from bandits for days, and the deer was the closest thing to food I was going to get for a while... I hope I didn't disturb your duties, whatever they may be." The man appeared to be a warrior, possibly a soldier? From her perspective, he had seen combat most likely, seeing as he was scarred from his face, and what was visible of his chest. She calmed down slightly, trusting of the man to not swing a blade her direction, she was hoping for small talk or conversation before finding where that deer took off to.

Vating gave her a nod once she lowered her weapon, "Yes, yes. I didn't. My name is Vating Hamlick. Who are you?" He looked around and then said, "I've been hunting bandits recently, thought some got the jump on me when I heard the arrow."

"I am Saoirse... pretty difficult to pronounce so just call me Ally" She said, sitting down on the ground while taking deep breaths. She heard the rest of his sentence, before talking herself. "So you hunt bandits? Are you a Merc of some kind? I would ask who you work for, but I probably don't want to know". She started to get up from her sitting to look around for the trail left by the deer, as she still needed to eat today, and wondered what will become of the man.

"Nice ti meet you Saoi-rse, alright, I'll work on that and call you Ally for now." Vating shrugged to her statement about who he was working for and said, "It's not as bad as you think. I only grabbed the nearest wanted slip and decided to go on my own kind of hunt." He looked in the direction of the deer that ran off and said, "You need any food? I have some spare bread in my pack and lost mine anyways when I dived into you by accident." He pulled his bag around his back, and pulled out two loaves of stale bread, extending one out to Saoirse, "It's a little stale but better than nothing."

"No- No I am good." She said, rejecting the bread. It slightly grossed her out, and she would rather take the chances with the fresh meat instead. It felt better to her at least. "You can come tag that game with me though if you wish, it shouldn't be that difficult to take on, even if it is a couple hundred pound buck..." Her body was slightly slouched, as she retrieved her leftover rations that she remained and began munching on salted cows meat. She was determined to take down that prize deer, even if it meant losing all her arrows.

Vating nods, taking another bite from his own stale bread and puts the other one away. She was right, it was disgusting, but that's what he had to eat. He gave her a nod, saying, "Hunting for some more worthwhile meat? Worth it!" He had his little shortbow if he needed to hunt.
